Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation has announced 2024-2025 winter closure dates for its facilities.

“Historically, we see very few visitors during these weeks, so this is an ideal time to close our centers for repairs and deep cleaning while limiting disruptions to the public as much as possible,” Recreation Manager Lisa Hubbell said. “We appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding while we take care of these public spaces.”

Community centers, performing arts centers and gyms will be closed from Monday, Dec. 23, through Friday, Jan. 3.

  • Macklanburg Community Center, 2234 NW 117th St.
  • Melrose Community Center, 7800 W Melrose Lane.
  • Minnis Lakeview Community Center, 12520 NE 36th St.
  • Pitts Community Center, 1920 N Kate Ave.
  • Southern Oaks Community Center, 400 SW 66th St.
  • Northwest Performing Arts Center, 3301 NW Grand Blvd.
  • Taylor Performing Arts Center, 1115 SW 70th St.
  • Johnnie L. Williams Municipal Gym, 720 NW 8th St.
  • Woodson Gym, 3061 SW 37th St.

Recreation centers and senior centers will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 24, through Wednesday, Jan. 1.

  • Willa D. Johnson Recreation Center, 909 Frederick Douglas Ave.
  • Pete White Health & Wellness Center, 4021 S Walker Ave.
  • Will Rogers Senior Center, 3501 Pat Murphy Drive.

Outdoor public park hours remain open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
