Everyone is invited to a town hall meeting with Ward 7 Councilwoman Nikki Nice from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Garden Oaks Community Center, 3401 NE 16th St.
Councilwoman Nice will emcee the meeting, which will cover topics such as enhancements to NE 23rd Street, Innovation Hub/Foster Center, Clara Luper Civil Rights Center, Interstate 35, NE Renaissance, East End Commercial District, Alpha Community Foundation, Fertile Ground, Vision Zero, OKC’s plan to eliminate deadly crashes in OKC, and other community events taking place within the ward.
Councilwoman Nice was elected to represent Oklahoma’s Senate District 48 in June 2024 and will take office Nov. 13. She has served OKC’s Ward 7 since 2018 and was the tenth woman and second woman of color to serve at City Hall since the City was incorporated in 1890.
“Please join me for my last town hall as the Ward 7 councilperson,” Councilwoman Nice said. “This town hall will focus on projects that are in the works in Northeast Oklahoma City and the Ward. Representing Ward 7 has been the honor of my lifetime, and I look forward to continuing my service at the State Capitol.”
Ward 7 includes northeast Oklahoma City but extends into southeast and northwest parts of the city.
Councilwoman Nice was elected to City Council in 2018 and re-elected unopposed in 2021.
