THEME ANNOUNCEMENT
We are excited to announce the theme for Oklahoma PrideFest 2024, Queer Justice: Colors of Change – a vibrant celebration at the intersection of activism and pride.
This theme speaks right to the heart of where we are as a community in this state and country. We are actively choosing to center the justice that is so desperately required for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. We are continuing our focus on resistance by calling for justice for the devastating wrongs committed against our community. These wrongs include but are not limited to: brutal legislation, hate-filled rhetoric, erasure of our existence, and a lack of true advocacy and support.
Our organization focuses on creating inclusive, celebratory, and uplifting spaces, but we would be remiss to leave out this direct call to action for our community. Have no doubt that we will continue to celebrate our community with a joy-filled weekend, remembering that queer joy is rebellious resistance. Our incredible love-filled energy for PrideFest is what fuels many of us to continue fighting all year long for a better tomorrow. We will call for the crucial change needed for us to not only survive but thrive by celebrating the many colors that represent our incredible tapestry of a community.
This will be a celebration of identity and a testament to the resilience and power of the queer community to drive meaningful change.
