OKLAHOMA CITY – The Metro Tech Board of Education has appointed Jess Eddy to fill District Seat 4 representing central Oklahoma City. Following the April 2024 meeting, the Board announced an opening and accepted applications for the vacant seat. During an emergency board meeting held on Monday interviews were conducted, and candidates were evaluated.
“The Metro Tech Board of Education is an integral leadership body made up of unique perspectives, each in service of our mission to prepare people for successful employment and life in a global society,” said Dr. Linda Ware Toure, Board President. “Mr. Eddy is a welcome addition, and we look forward to his contributions to our board.”
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Eddy is a Midwest City High School graduate. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma and his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law. In 2022, Eddy co-founded LiveFree Oklahoma City, a nonprofit dedicated to building peace and reducing violence in Oklahoma City, where he serves as director of operations.
“I consider it a privilege and honor to be able to serve the public and the Metro Tech family on the Board of Education,” said Eddy. “I look forward to lending my best effort toward advancing the mission of preparing students for an exciting and meaningful career.”
