PRESS RELEASE: Metro home sales near pre-pandemic levels

MLSOK sends this information as posted below:

OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 18, 2024) — MLSOK Board President Angelena Harris issued the following statement regarding the MLSOK October 2024 Residential Sales Report.

“While metro home sales in October ticked up compared to September, we’re seeing a slowdown in sales compared to the frenzy of the pandemic when mortgage rates were at record lows,” Harris said. “Sales numbers are reaching pre-pandemic levels, and with homes staying on the market longer, a more balanced market is likely ahead.”

In October, the average home was on the market for 45 days. In a balanced real estate market, homes are listed for an average of 180 days, or six months.

Harris is available for interviews to discuss what buyers and sellers can expect in 2025.
