PRESS RELEASE: Latino Community Development Agency (LCDA) to hold 33rd Annual Awards & Recognition Luncheon

Oklahoma City, OK (August 2024) – The Latino Community Development Agency (LCDA) invites the community to its 33rd Annual Awards & Recognition Luncheon on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024, from 11:30 am to 1 pm, registration opens at 11 am. The event will be held at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

This event brings together 600 individuals, including Latino leaders, business and political partners, community agencies, and friends of the Latino Community Development Agency. The event features music, several award presentations, speakers, and a plated lunch. Proceeds from the event provide unrestricted financial support that sustains the nonprofit’s twenty-four different bilingual programs.  

This year’s luncheon keynote speaker will be Ed Sanchez, Lopez Foods Chairman. Award recipients include Honorary Chair Nancy Galvan, KZUE Radio La Tremenda; Thuong Van Nguyen, MDFrancis Ibarra, President Supermercados Morelos; Ronald Grant, Metro Technology Centers; Gabriela Herrera, LCDA; Iliana Lezema FamilyHilda de Leon Xavier Archdiocese of Oklahoma City; and Head Consul Edurne Pineda and the Mexican Consulate of Oklahoma City

The luncheon’s “Padrino” sponsor is Lopez Foods.  “Compadre” sponsors include Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Oklahoma, Love’s Travel Stops, Supermercados Morelos, MidFirst Bank, OKC Thunder, and Rivas & Associates. 

Tickets to attend the luncheon are now available for purchase online at https://www.lcdaok.com/annual-luncheon-2/. Tickets are $125 each, now through September 4, and $150 per person if purchased after September 5 through September 9.
