Where can you find Star Wars costumes, comic book debates, and Pokémon card trading all in one place? At GeekCon 2025, happening Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Downtown OKC Library!
This all-ages celebration of geek culture brings the spirit of major pop culture conventions—like San Diego Comic-Con—to the heart of Oklahoma City, offering a free, funand accessible space for fans to connect, create and celebrate together.
This year’s theme, “Brave New World,” promises a full day of cosplay, creativity and community. From comics and anime to Star Trek and Star Wars, there’s something for every fandom—including the debut of Cardboardlandia, a hands-on cardboard construction zone designed to spark imagination in both kids and adults.

- Anime Theater – 10 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Watch your favorite anime on the big screen. - Escape Room Challenges – 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.
Test your puzzle-solving skills in one of three interactive escape room sessions. - Board Gaming Bonanza -10 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Play from our game library or bring your own for a relaxed gaming session. - Superhero Storytime – 10–11:30 a.m.
A magical storytime with books, songs and activities for little heroes. - Magic: The Gathering Jumpstart Tournament – 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
A casual, beginner-friendly tournament for ages 12–18 using Jumpstart packs. - Star Trek Trivia – 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Compete solo or as a team in this galaxy-class trivia challenge. Prizes will be awarded for the top team, best costume and most creative team name! - Cardboardlandia- 1–3 p.m.
Team up to build epic cardboard creations in this fun, fast-paced challenge. - OKC Improv – 1–2 p.m.
Enjoy geeky laughs with performances from local improv artists. - Cosplay Contest – 3–4 p.m.
Show off your best cosplay and compete for prizes in this fan-favorite event.
