Police believe dead body found in NW OKC to be from homicide

OKLAHOMA CITY — Police now believe that a person found dead Sunday afternoon is a homicide.

The Oklahoma City Police Department is listing the death as homicide #5 in the City of Oklahoma City for 2024

Sunday, at 1:23 PM, patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were called to the area around N. Pennsylvania Ave. and W. Park Place to check the welfare of someone there.

When they arrived, they found a dead body, later determined to be that of David Raidy, 46.

“Raidy’s death did not appear to be from natural causes and homicide investigators were called to the scene,” according to the press release.

The investigation is in its early stages, say police.
