OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) announced Monday that the application window for the 2025–2026 academic year is currently open through February 21, 2025.
Free public middle and high schools with selective admissions are called application schools. A mix of achievement exams, attendance, auditions, grades, and/or recommendations may be used as selection criteria.
Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School, Classen SAS Middle School, Southeast Middle School, Southeast High School, and Classen SAS High School at Northeast are looking for applicants who have shown good character and academic excellence, or who have abilities in the fine arts, leadership, or STEM.
Any student enrolled in fourth through eleventh grade, including those from other districts, may apply to one of our application schools.
However, students that reside inside the OKCPS boundaries are given preference.
“At OKCPS, we are proud of our application schools and the innovative opportunities they provide for students to excel academically and creatively,” said OKCPS Superintendent Dr. Jamie Polk. “From cutting-edge STEM programs to award-winning arts and leadership pathways, our schools prepare scholars for success in college and beyond. We encourage families to explore these unique pathways and join us in empowering students to fulfill their unique purpose.”
Families who would like to enroll their child in one of these OKCPS applicant schools for the 2025–2026 academic year must complete and submit an application by February 21, 2025.
Also, the brand-new Belle Isle Enterprise High School, which is set to open for the 2027–2028 academic year, will provide students who attend Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School with the opportunity to continue their academic career.
Families interested in these extraordinary opportunities may visit www.okcps.org/applicationschools for additional information and to apply by February 21, 2025.
