OKLAHOMA CITY — A man was shot and killed early Monday while riding his bicycle in a south Oklahoma City neighborhood.
It is homicide #29 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2025.
Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department responded around 3:45 a.m. to a report of a shooting near Southwest 57th Street and Villa Avenue. When they arrived, they found Cory Don Johnson, 37, dead at the scene.
From their investigation so far, detectives believe Johnson became involved in a confrontation while riding his bicycle, and escalated, leading to the fatal shooting.
No arrests have been made as of Thursday, according to MSgt. Gary Knight with OCPD, and the investigation is ongoing.
