OKLAHOMA CITY –Oklahoma City saw a weekend rocked by gun violence, with three shooting victims – including a two-year-old girl – all dead within a 30-hour timeframe and within a five-mile span across the city’s northwest side.
OKC Police say all three deaths are being ruled as homicides, but only two have resulted in arrests.
Early Saturday shooting outside N. Portland event center
Shortly after 3:00am Saturday morning, police were alerted to a shooting outside of an event center in a strip mall development at 3136 N. Portland Avenue.
Police arrived to find 19-year-old Nestor Aguillar shot in the event center parking lot.
Aguillar was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses at the scene told police that a fight had broken out among a large group outside of the event center early Saturday morning, resulting in the shooting of Aguillar and reportedly other injuries.

Despite detectives interviewing multiple witnesses at the scene and police combing the area and surrounding neighborhoods with K-9 units, no arrests have yet been made and no suspects have been named or confirmed.

Aguillar’s death is the 12th recorded homicide for OKC in 2026.
Late Saturday shooting of unidentified male on N. Western

OKCPD responded to a report of a shooting in the 3200 block of North Western Avenue after 9:15pm Saturday night.
Officers found a deceased male at the scene killed by shooting.
Investigators were able to determine that the victim had been on a bicycle in the area and had approached the vehicle of 25-year-old Eli Walker.
Police say Walker shot and killed the man after he had approached Walker’s vehicle.
After being interviewed by police, Walker was arrested and booked on a complaint of murder in the second degree.
The deceased victim has not yet been positively identified, and police are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Tip-Line at (405) 297-1200.
The shooting is the 13th homicide for Oklahoma City in 2026.
2-year-old girl shot and killed in NW 39th Street apartment

Just after 10:30am Sunday morning, police were called to an apartment complex in the 2400 block of NW 39th Street.
Upon arriving, they found that 2-year-old Kehleni Rodriguez had been shot.
The girl was rushed to a nearby hospital, but died shortly after.
Investigators determined that 22-year-old Jesus Lopez had been handling a loaded pistol in the presence of what the police press release says were “numerous children.” When the gun was inadvertently fired, police say, Rodriguez was shot.
Lopez was arrested and booked on a count of first-degree manslaughter at the Oklahoma County Detention Center before being released on a $25,000 bond.
The death of Kehleni Rodriguez will be recorded as the 14th homicide for Oklahoma City in 2026.
