OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma City man was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of another man in southwest Oklahoma City, marking the city’s 58th homicide of 2025.
Police believe 23-year-old Ruben Renee Orrantia-Silva shot and killed 20-year-old Christopher Sosa on the morning of Nov. 8 at a home in the 2400 block of SW 23rd Street.

Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department responded to the address shortly after 8 a.m. and found Sosa dead at the scene from apparent gunshot wounds.
Orrantia-Silva was taken into custody early the next morning and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a murder complaint, according to jail records.
In addition to the murder complaint stemming from Sosa’s death, Orrantia-Silva was also booked on several outstanding felony warrants issued in 2023. The additional complaints include:
• Kidnapping
• Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
• Domestic assault and battery by strangulation
• Use of a firearm while committing a felony
• Obstructing an officer
• Endangering others while eluding police
• Being a fugitive from justice
Jail records show Orrantia-Silva remained in custody as of Monday with bond amounts totaling more than $10 million.
