(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK) Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) is excited to announce that Belle Isle Enterprise High School (BIEHS) is now enrolling students for its inaugural 9th-grade class for the 2026–2027 school year.

This marks a historic milestone as students have the unique opportunity to become the founding freshman class of a brand-new high school experience within the Belle Isle community.

During their first year, students will attend classes at the current Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School campus located at 5904 N Villa Ave, benefiting from a familiar and supportive environment as the new high school building is completed. In the 2027–2028 school year, students will transition to the newly constructed Belle Isle High School campus, made possible through funding from the 2022 OKCPS Bond, a voter-approved investment in the future of Oklahoma City students.

“Belle Isle Enterprise High School represents our continued commitment to helping every student see themselves as a leader and a learner,” said OKCPS Superintendent, Dr. Jamie Polk. “From the very beginning, our goal is to create a school where students not only excel academically, but also discover their purpose, find their voice, and lead with confidence.”

“These founding students won’t just be attending a new school. They’ll be shaping its identity, its culture, and its future. It’s an incredible opportunity to build something special from the ground up,” said inaugural BIEHS principal, Michael DeForest.

BIEHS is an OKCPS Application School meaning, it’s a free application-based public school. The district is accepting applicants from both within and outside of OKCPS boundaries.

Parents and guardians of current 8th-grade students are encouraged to learn more and begin the enrollment process today. This is a unique chance for students to leave their mark and help shape the culture, spirit, and traditions of a brand-new high school from day one.
