ZOObrew, presented by Byron’s Liquor Warehouse, returns to the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden for its 17th year of craft beer, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverage tastings to benefit wildlife conservation on Friday, September 26, 2025. The fan-favorite fundraiser, produced by the Oklahoma Zoological Society (OZS), ZOObrew is Oklahoma City’s largest outdoor craft beer festival. This 21-and-older event includes unlimited beverage sampling, carousel rides, animal enrichment activities, and caretaker chats.
ZOObrew runs from 6 to 9 p.m., but for those who want to start early there are a limited number of PREbrew tickets, which include early access at 4 p.m., food from PREbrew food stations, a limited-edition T-shirt, tasting mug, swag bag, and access to animal enrichments and feeding encounters for flamingos, honey badgers, Galapagos tortoises, and giraffes.
This year introduces a new tier of experiences with Safari Speakeasy tickets, which includes all the PREbrew benefits as well as access to The Baobab Lodge Speakeasy Lounge for one of three top-shelf beverage tastings. The Baobab Lodge is the Zoo’s new event space overlooking the African savanna and includes multiple bedrooms and bathrooms for overnight experiences inside the Zoo. Safari Speakeasy ticket holders have access to curated hors d’oeuvres and an hour of premium beverage samplings. Tequila tastings are from 5 to 6 p.m., whiskey tastings from 6 to 7 p.m., and red wine tastings from 7 to 8 p.m.
ZOObrew tickets are now on sale at www.ozsgiving.org/zoobrew. General admission is $75 per person, PREbrew admission is $150 per person, and Safari Speakeasy admission is $300 per person.
“We’re excited to introduce the Safari Speakeasy experience this year for our guests who have a specific interest in top-shelf tequila, whiskey, and red wine tastings,” said OZS Executive Director Mandy Heaps. “It’s also a new avenue to raise funds for our conservation partners, who are working tirelessly to protect wildlife and wild places.”
Proceeds from ZOObrew will support primate conservation organizations GRACE Gorillas and Projeto Reconecta. GRACE works to rewild rescued Grauer’s gorillas, protect forest habitats, and work with local communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo to build sustainable conservation solutions. Brazil-based Projeto Reconecta creates canopy bridges over roadways in the Amazon rainforest to allow animals including Guiana spider monkeys, golden-handed tamarins, black-capped capuchins, and others to avoid vehicles and reconnect isolated sections of the forest.
The Zoo will close at 1 p.m., last entry at noon, on Friday, September 26 in preparation for ZOObrew.
ZOObrew provides fun volunteer opportunities for adults 21 and older and is a great way to give back way to wildlife and wild places by giving your time and talents. To learn more about volunteering at ZOObrew and to register, visit www.okczoo.org/volunteers-for-special-events.
