Shootout in far NW OKC leaves one dead, one in hospital

OKLAHOMA CITY — Two people involved in a shooting inside a residence in far NW OKC weren’t able to just walk away afterward.

Officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were called to 5924 NW 158th Street near the intersection of NW 150th and MacArthur Thursday.

When they arrived, officers report that they found two people who were suffering from multiple gunshot wounds each.

The 58-year-old suspect, Roy Paul Joseph, Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene.

Who police believe to have been the victim, 64-year-old Terrence Pipkins, was transported to the hospital and at last check was still alive.

From interviews at the scene, police believe that Roy Paul Joseph came to the home where “gunfire was exchanged” between the two.

The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office who will ultimately determine if any charges will be filed.
