OKLAHOMA CITY — A 17-year-old boy was killed Friday evening in a shooting at a northeast Oklahoma City apartment complex, police said.
Officers responded around 6:20 p.m. to a shooting call in the 2600 block of N. Kelley Ave., according to a press release issued Monday by Staff Sgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department. Police are counting this as homicide #74 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2025.
Police found Nethaniel Raper lying in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to OU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators determined Raper became involved in an altercation with Ross Pittser, 25, during which Pittser produced a firearm and shot Raper, police said.

Pittser was located nearby and taken into custody. He was later booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a murder complaint.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200.
