OKLAHOMA CITY — A man was found dead with gunshot wounds in a southside OKC hotel room early Tuesday morning. A suspect is now in custody.
The death is being counted as homicide #8 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2024.
Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were sent to the Days Inn at 8217 S. I-35 Service Road Tuesday morning around 5:24 AM on reports of a shooting.
Once there, they found a man in a room who appeared to have been shot to death.
Now that next of kin have been notified, police have released the name of the deceased, which is:
- Anthony Porter, 44
By close to midnight the same day, detectives had arrested Brandon Metcalf, 43, and booked him on a complaint of First Degree Murder.
Bond was set at $10 million.
