Southeast OKC homicide leaves police seeking suspects


OKLAHOMA CITY – A weekend stabbing in southeast Oklahoma City has left one person dead and left police looking for suspects.

Shortly after 6:00pm Saturday, March 14th, Oklahoma City Police responded to a call in the area of SE 46th Street and S. Sunnylane Rd., indicating that a person had been stabbed.

The victim, identified by OKCPD as 37-year-old Cody Overton Sharp, was found alive by police and transported to an area hospital, but died shortly after.

Sharp’s death marks the city’s 11th homicide of 2026.

Police said that investigators have heard reports of an altercation between Sharp and an unknown party happening sometime before the stabbing, but no other details have been released and no suspects have been named or arrests made.
