OKLAHOMA CITY — A person was found dead in a motel room on the south side with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
The gender or the name of the victim has not been revealed pending notification to next-of-kin.
Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were sent to the motel at 128 SW 44th Wednesday around 10:52 am. The call was regarding a dead person who had been found in a room.
Once the officers arrived they assessed that the person had been shot, according to Sgt. Dillon Quirk with the office of the Public Information Officer.
Quirk said that the investigation is in its early stages and no arrests have been made.
