OKLAHOMA CITY — The second death of a detainee in the Oklahoma County Detention Center or Jail occurred Saturday night.
Vincent Riggie, 37, was found “unresponsive” around 7:10 PM Saturday in his cell during sight checks according to Jail spokesperson Mark Opgrande in a press release.

Per protocol, the officer who discovered Riggie started lifesaving measures including administering NARCAN.
EMSA and the Oklahoma City Fire Department then arrived and took over efforts to revive Riggie which were unsuccessful.
Riggie was booked into the Jail on November 4 and was being held on a $50,000 bond.
The body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy.
Per protocol, all deaths in the Oklahoma County Jail are investigated as homicides by the Oklahoma County Detention Center until the Oklahoma Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death.
