OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Science Museum Oklahoma is turning back the clock with SMO21+: 90s Rewind, an adults-only, after-hours event on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026. The evening invites guests 21 and over to explore the kid-free museum with hands-on activities, themed games, and nostalgic fun inspired by the 1990s.
SMO21+: 90s Rewind celebrates the decade when many Oklahomans first fell in love with science inside these walls, pairing retro vibes with the playful curiosity that defined the era.
The five SMO21+ events throughout the year give adults the rare chance to experience the museum like kids again, with the added bonus of cocktails and no field trip chaperones in sight. Guests can expect a night built around shared experiences, throwback memories, and new moments created in a space that feels both familiar and reimagined.
Activities for the evening lean fully into 90s nostalgia and include giant Pogs, classic throwback games, hacky sack circles, hands-on 90s toys, an Easy Bake Oven station, a Lisa Frank inspired art project, a secret room, a troll salon, and rover bounce experiences. Music, drinks, and themed surprises round out the night. Attendees are always encouraged to dress for the theme of each SMO21+ event.

Kirkpatrick president of Science Museum Oklahoma. “For many Oklahomans, this was their first place to tinker, experiment, and ask big questions. SMO21+: 90s Rewind honors that legacy while reminding us that curiosity does not fade with age. It simply grows with us.”
SMO21+: 90s Rewind’s VIP entry beginning at 6:30 p.m. and general admission starting at 7 p.m. The event concludes at 10 p.m. Tickets start at $35.
