PRESS RELEASE: ReMerge to break ground on $4.5 Million Graduate Center

ReMerge sends this information as posted below:

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – ReMerge, a one-of-a-kind diversion program serving high-risk, high-need mothers in Oklahoma County and surrounding areas, will break ground on a new $4.5 million dollar Graduate Center on Wednesday, March 5 from 3:00pm – 4:30pm. The event will begin with tours and a reception at 3:00 PM, followed by the official groundbreaking ceremony at 4:00 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the site, meet ReMerge staff and graduates, and learn more about how this expansion will change lives.

ReMerge’s expansion will provide essential, ongoing support for program graduates as they transition into independent, stable lives. Since the organization’s founding in 2011, ReMerge has graduated 214 women, preventing 1,453 years of incarceration, and positively impacting 535 children. By breaking cycles of addiction and incarceration, ReMerge has not only restored families but also saved the state over $53 million in incarceration costs.

The new facility, located on ReMerge’s existing campus at 823 N. Villa Ave. in Oklahoma City, will be funded through American Rescue Plan Act funding as well as a newly launched capital campaign to secure the remaining investment needed.

The Graduate Center will provide ReMerge graduates with ongoing resources, a supportive environment, and access to tools that support lifelong recovery and success. Designed to foster connection, stability, and growth, the center will offer family-friendly spaces, essential support services, and opportunities for personal and professional development.

“ReMerge’s new graduate space is designed to make completing the program feel less like an ending and more like a new beginning—where ongoing support and a strong sense of community remain at the heart of our journey,” said Ariel Moore, ReMerge Graduate and Capital Campaign Honorary Co-Chair.

This expansion reflects ReMerge’s unwavering commitment to breaking barriers and ensuring lasting success for women and their families.

“This Graduate Center will be more than just a building—it’s a commitment to sustaining the progress our graduates have worked so hard to achieve,” said Erin Engelke, CEO of ReMerge. “For 214 women, ReMerge has been life-changing—helping them reunite with their children and rebuild their futures. The Graduate Center will ensure they continue to have a safe, supportive space to grow and thrive.”
