ReMerge sends this information as posted below:

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – ReMerge, a local pre-trial prison diversion program for high-risk, high- need mothers is excited to announce the launch of the ReMerge Teen Board, providing leadership and service opportunities for high school students in central Oklahoma.

High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors attending public, private, charter or home schools in Oklahoma are invited to apply for a position on the teen board. The board will meet once a month at ReMerge to focus on educating and equipping students to serve justice-involved mothers.

“As a mother of teenaged children, I have a special place in my heart for providing leadership and service opportunities to future generations. The youth of our community are capable of big things…of changing lives…and I can’t wait to see all of what our new ReMerge Teen Board members are able to accomplish for the special moms we serve each day,” ReMerge CEO Erin Engelke said.

Chaired by Georgia Gray, a senior at Heritage Hall, the Teen Board will be responsible for educating teenagers about the issues facing justice-involved individuals, conducting service projects to benefit ReMerge participants, and advocating for high-risk, high-need mothers through fundraising initiatives.

ReMerge will be hosting a meet & greet event on August 7 from 8:30am-10:00am at the ReMerge office for those who are interested in joining the board. Applications are being accepted through August 15, 2025. If you or someone you know is interested in joining ReMerge’s teen board, the application and additional information can be found at Teen Board — ReMerge Oklahoma. Any questions can be directed to Communications and Volunteer Coordinator Abby Ettinger (aettinger@remergeok.org).
