OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Oklahoma County Treatment Courts, consisting of Drug Court, DUI Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans Court, will recognize recent graduates during their 1st public ceremony of 2025. The Celebration of Graduates is taking place on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025 at 5:45 p.m. at Frontline Church located at 1104 N. Robinson in downtown Oklahoma City. With friends and family in attendance, graduates will celebrate successfully completing their respective treatment court program and having their charges dismissed.
Oklahoma County Treatment Court is a comprehensive program that offers support, substance use disorder treatment, supervision, and accountability as an alternative to traditional sentencing. Nationally, treatment courts are considered the single most successful criminal justice intervention for seriously addicted offenders. On average individuals who qualify for the program have had 7.6 arrests stemming from addiction and are facing felony charges which are dismissed upon completion.
Our fall celebration theme is Transformation — and will include heartfelt testimonials from several treatment court graduates of how their recovery journey and treatment court transformed the way they show up for themselves and the community, as well as remarks from Judge Kenneth Stoner and Judge Catherine M. Burton.
“If you care about building a justice system that treats mental health and addiction with both compassion and accountability, I invite you to join us on October 7th for our Fall Celebration of Graduates. It’s a powerful opportunity to witness real stories of transformation- and to see firsthand how Treatment Courts change lives. Recovery doesn’t give you your old life back. It gives you the chance to build the one you were born for. Oklahoma County is home to one of the largest and most effective Treatment Court programs in the nation, and we’d be honored to have you celebrate with us and hear from a few of our remarkable graduates.” said Judge Kenneth Stoner, the presiding judge over Drug and DUI Court in Oklahoma County.
Since 2016, a staggering 1,700 graduates have successfully completed Oklahoma County Treatment Court programs, resulting in the dismissal of their charges. This has saved the State of Oklahoma an astounding $275 million dollars as our participants have avoided over almost 12,000 years of prison. OCTC currently has a little over 1,000 active participants. Our diversion programs continue to modernize our community’s criminal justice system.

Treatment Court removes defendants from the congested courtrooms of the traditional criminal justice system, placing them in a new type of courtroom environment where they undergo treatment and counseling, make regular appearances before the judge, and are monitored closely for program compliance.
Our Mission is to provide a pathway to recovery, accountability, and hope by addressing the root causes of addiction, mental health and crime. Through collaboration between the courts, treatment providers, and community partners, we strive to support participants in achieving lasting change, reducing recidivism, and building healthier, safer communities
