Oklahoma County and its SHINE program will deliver more than 1,600 coats to Christmas Connection to support their annual Holiday Shopping Days program. This event will also launch this year’s Oklahoma County Coat Drive, beginning the week of Thanksgiving and continuing through the week after Christmas.

For thousands of families in Oklahoma County, the arrival of cold weather brings added hardship. This effort will help keep our neighbors warm, supported, and cared for during the winter months, ensuring no one has to face the season without a coat. It also highlights the County’s commitment to lifting up local families during the holidays, as the Oklahoma County Coat Drive begins November 24 and runs through December 29. Donations of new and gently used coats of all sizes will benefit Christmas Connection, bringing warmth and dignity to men, women, and children in need.
