PRESS RELEASE: OKC’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center closed June 27


The City of OKC sends this information as posted below:


Oklahoma City’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will be closed Friday, Friday, June 27, for maintenance and will reopen Saturday, June 28.

The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center at 1621 S. Portland Ave. accepts a variety of hazardous materials from residents’ homes year-round. Products accepted at the center include gasoline, automotive fluids, batteries, pesticides, weed killers, swimming pool chemicals and paint-related products.

The center’s regular hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center is operated by the Storm Water Quality Division of the Public Works Department. Visit okc.gov/hhw for a list of accepted materials. For more information, call (405) 682-7038.
