PRESS RELEASE: OKCPS hosts free development screenings for children ages 3 and 4

(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK) Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) is offering free developmental screenings for children ages 3 and 4 who reside within OKCPS district boundaries. These screenings are designed to help identify a child’s strengths and determine whether additional support might benefit their growth and learning. This is an excellent opportunity for families to ensure their children are on track for a successful educational journey.

These walk-in screenings eliminate the need for appointments, providing families with flexibility and accessibility. Each evaluation is designed to last approximately one hour and will cover crucial developmental areas, including:

  • communication
  • gross motor skills
  • fine motor skills
  • problem-solving skills
  • personal-social skills
  • age-appropriate milestones.

Families will receive detailed information about their child’s screening results and, if concerns are identified, guidance on available support services.

Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Dates: Tuesday, June 17 & Friday, June 20
