Oklahoma City, August 19, 2025 – An adult book fair at Full Circle Bookstore fullcirclebooks.com will offer a peek into the burgeoning world of BookTok and Bookstagram. The books featured at the event will be curated by local book content creators who have thousands of followers on TikTok and Instagram. The free event will also feature a panel discussion with several of the local influencers. The book fair will take place September 13 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Full Circle will host more than a dozen content creators. The creators will have tables stocked high with books from their book selections. They will talk with attendees about their favorites, and some will conduct giveaways. The panel discussion will center on how readers and authors alike can make the most out of BookTok and Bookstagram.
Steven Zoeller, Full Circle Bookstore Assistant Manager said, “If you make or consume content in the ecosystem of BookTok and Bookstagram, you’ll want to take this opportunity to meet your fellow travelers, discover the books making waves online, and learn how you can become more involved in the movement.”
Dana Cavazos, a creator with more than 60,000 followers whose TikTok handle is @thesmallestbookclub, said being part of BookTok changed her life.
Cavazos explained, “BookTok gave me a space where I felt seen, not just as a reader but as a person with thoughts and experiences worth sharing. It opened doors I never expected. I’ve started working with multiple publishers and now receive advance reader copies from some of my favorite authors.”
The content creators who will be featured at the event have both large and small followings.
Magen Runyan, a creator with more than 2,000 followers whose Instagram handle is @reading.with.hotchocolate, will have free small jars to give away with her branded sticker and hot chocolate mix.
Runyan said, “I enjoy Booktok and Bookstagram because once you find the creators you enjoy and have similar tastes it feels like you are getting reviews from your friends.”
Another content creator who’ll be featured at the event is Amber Hillhouse, who has more than 100,000 followers with the Instagram handle @seekingdystopia. As alluded to in her handle, Hillhouse’s main tastes in books are dystopian and science fiction.
“I started my Bookstagram, then shortly after my Booktok, originally to be able to discover new books to read, but quickly found that I loved sharing my own reviews as well!” Hillhouse continued, “I have had so many opportunities to read books, meet authors, attend events, and make friends that I never would have had without BookTok!”
Cavazos said, “Being here, finding this space, and building a community have completely changed the way I see the world. I never imagined something like BookTok or a local book fair would open that door for me, but it did. And I’m so thankful for it.”
The Creator Book Fair will take place Saturday, September 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the atrium at the indoor entrance of Full Circle Bookstore located in 50 Penn Place on the first floor at 1900 NW Expressway in Oklahoma City.
