PRESS RELEASE: City of Bethany announces inaugural Bethany Youth Council

Bethany, OK – The City of Bethany is proud to announce the members of the inaugural Bethany Youth Council (BYC). This new initiative brings together student leaders from Bethany High School and Putnam City West High School to provide youth with an active voice in local government and community affairs. 

The 2025–2026 Bethany Youth Council Members are: 

Jose Peñaloza, Putnam City West – Junior 

Amy Alonzo, PCW – Senior 

Estefany Flores, PCW – Senior 

Jacqueline Valle, Bethany High School – Senior 

Marely Martinez, BHS – Senior 

Adan Miguel Guzman, BHS – Senior 

Jayden Brintnall, BHS – Junior 

Abby Carpenter, BHS – Senior 

Adamina G. Nelson, BHS – Junior 

A welcoming reception to highlight the new Youth Council members will be held on Tuesday, October 7th at 5:00 p.m. at Bethany City Hall – 6700 NW 36th St., Bethany, OK 73008. Light appetizers and refreshments will be served. 

“This Youth Council represents the next generation of leadership in Bethany, in Oklahoma and beyond,” said Mayor Amanda Sandoval. “We are excited to see these students bring their energy, perspective, and commitment to serving our community.” 

The Bethany Youth Council will meet regularly throughout the year, engaging in community projects, civic education, and leadership development.
