The City of OKC sends this information as posted below:
Only two weeks remain until the OKC Utilities Department rolls out new bulky waste collection routes on March 1, affecting about 64,000 customers.
Most changes will occur in the city’s central corridor from the South I-240 Service Road north to 122nd Street between May and Bryant avenues, with a few neighborhoods north of 122nd also impacted.
To keep impacted customers informed, the City mailed postcards listing their first three new collection dates and created an interactive, color-coded “Bulky Collection Changes” map at okc.gov/MyTrashDay. The map shows whether a customer’s day, week or both will change. To check their status, users can zoom in on shaded areas or enter an address in the search bar. Areas without shading will not experience changes.
Also starting March 1, the new dates will appear on water bills, on the regular okc.gov/MyTrashDay map, on online accounts at okcutilities.com and in the My OKC Utilities mobile app. Until then, the existing bulky schedule will remain listed.
Customers should review their new collection dates now to prepare for their new bulky schedule. As always, bulky items should be at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on the customer’s assigned collection date, and no more than three days early. Bulky pickups run in three-day blocks starting each Monday and Wednesday beginning the first Monday of the month. Crews generally collect within three days from the assigned date, depending on volume.
