PRESS RELEASE: Boys & Girls Club receives $48K grant for youth nutrition and wellness programs

The Boys & Girls Club of Norman sends this information as posted below:

The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) a global nonprofit fueled by Herbalife independent  distributors and employees, has awarded a grant of $48,000 to Boys & Girls Club of  Norman, a program of Center for Children and Families, Inc., a nonprofit organization in  Norman dedicated to helping at-risk youth by promoting physical well-being, academic  achievement, and character growth via daily balanced meals, meal planning, nutrition  education, and fitness games to ensure lifelong wellness habits. As a Casa Herbalife  Program partner, the Boys & Girls Club of Norman works with HFF to expand access to  nutritious meals, educational resources, and safe, supportive environments for  underserved children and families.

Through its Casa Herbalife Program, HFF distributed $5 million this year to over 165  nonprofits across 60 countries and territories, furthering its mission to nourish lives and  empower communities worldwide. Casa Herbalife grants are made possible through the  continued support of Herbalife Independent Distributors and employees. Their dedication  powers locally led partnerships that deliver nutritious meals, education, and safe spaces  for children and families. This year’s funding is expected to benefit more than 200,000  children globally.

“We believe every person deserves the opportunity to thrive and build a better future,” said  Rob Levy, Herbalife Family Foundation board member and Herbalife president. “We are  inspired by our distributor community and employees who come together year after year to  act upon that belief and create lasting impact in communities around the world.”

Here is a quote from our CEO, Melissa Klink: “We are so grateful for our long-standing  partnership with Herbalife Family Foundation! It is inspirational to see this funding in  action. The youth in our program love the healthy lifestyle opportunities such as cooking,  swimming, physical activity, and nutrition education made possible through this  partnership,” said Melissa Klink, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Norman.
