Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County and Youth on Course send this information as posted below:
Local athletes and pro golfers will tee off alongside 50 children from Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County and Youth on Course at Bank of America’s free Golf with Us clinic on Wednesday, August 27. Austin Eckroat and local golf professionals will share golf tips and life lessons as kids take turns practicing swinging, putting and chipping like the pros at Lincoln Park Golf Course.
Bank of America’s Golf with Us program is expanding affordable access to golf nationwide by offering rounds for $5 or less at thousands of courses in partnership with Youth on Course. More than 85,000 kids and teens nationwide and more than 1,000 in Oklahoma City enrolled in Golf with Us in early summer – reflecting recent trends of golf’s growing popularity. According to analysis from Bank of America Institute, spending on golf is up more than 80% from 2019. With the bank’s support, Youth on Course added 12 new municipal courses in Oklahoma City, which quickly became the organization’s fastest growing expansion market in the country. To date, more than 5,700 rounds of golf have been played at six local courses with 1,500 of those rounds played by new Youth on Course members who joined through the Golf with Us offer.
In addition, all clinic participants will have an opportunity to join a PGA Jr. League team at Lincoln Park Golf Course for free, courtesy of Bank of America. PGA Jr. League is a team-based golf experience where kids wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with their friends.
Please note: registration for this clinic is full and not open to the public.
