Police: Man’s deliberate crash kills 2 in northeast OKC

— Homicides #52 and #53 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2025.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Police believe a man made a deliberate choice to cause a crash Friday afternoon that killed two people in northeast Oklahoma City.

The collision happened about 2:43 p.m. near East Wilshire Boulevard and Northeast Katherine Place, according to the news release.

When patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department arrived, they found two people dead in separate vehicles: Jonathan Wooldridge, 31, and Sierra Gamble, 30.

Their deaths are being counted as homicide #52 and homicide #53 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2025.

After an initial investigation, detectives believe that Aaron Taylor, 34, assaulted Gamble before fleeing with her in his vehicle, then deliberately crossed the center road lines on Wilshire and collided head-on with Wooldridge’s vehicle.

Taylor was taken to a hospital in critical condition. He has since been arrested on two complaints of first-degree murder and one complaint of kidnapping, but, at publication, had not been booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.

Taylor is in custody with an officer guarding him at the hospital, and will be booked when he recovers, according to SSgt. Quirk.

Homicide detectives and traffic investigators both responded to the scene. SSgt Dillon Quirk said the investigation remains in its early stages.
