OKLAHOMA CITY — Threading the calendar needle just between the last two City Council of Oklahoma City meetings of January, crews will be tearing into the Council Chamber to install new heating and air infrastructure. A new air filtration system will be added at the same time.
From January 18th through the 30th, construction will be underway so that the many meetings that usually take place in the Chamber will be temporarily relocated and will not be livestreamed.
City Council meetings on January 17th and the 31st will not be affected.
The Chamber is located on the third floor of City Hall, but business in the rest of the building will go on as usual.
Here are the details of regular monthly meetings that will be either cancelled or temporarily relocated:
- Thursday, Jan. 19 – 9:30 a.m. – Downtown Design Review – Moved to 431 W. Main St., Embark Large Conference Room, Suite B
- Thursday, Jan. 19 – 1:30 p.m. – Board of Adjustment – No Meeting Scheduled
- Friday, Jan. 20 – 1:30 p.m. – Traffic Commission – Cancelled
- Monday, Jan. 23 – 4 p.m. – Arts Commission – Moved to 431 W. Main St., Embark Large Conference Room, Suite B
- Wednesday, Jan. 25 – 3 p.m. – Urban Design – Moved to 431 W. Main St., Embark Large Conference Room, Suite B
- Thursday, Jan. 26 – 9 a.m. – Oklahoma City Airport Trust – Moved to 431 W. Main St., Embark Large Conference Room, Suite B
- Thursday, Jan. 26 – 10 a.m. – MAPS 3 Citizens Advisory Board – Moved to 431 W. Main St., Embark Large Conference Room, Suite B
- Thursday, Jan. 26 – 1:30 p.m. – Planning Commission – No Meeting Scheduled
As usual, the meetings will be open to the public and minutes posted to Okc.gov, but will not be livestreamed or a video archive created.
