OKLAHOMA CITY — A 30-year-old man was shot to death early Monday at an apartment complex near Melrose Lane and Rockwell Avenue, according to police.
It is the 63rd homicide for Oklahoma City in 2025.
Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were called to 7145 Melrose Lane around 3:30 a.m. Nov. 17 and found Mark Dewayne Clewis Jr. wounded by gunfire, police believe. Clewis was taken to a hospital, where he died just before 7 p.m. the same day.

Detectives believe the shooter was 47-year-old Allen Ray Sioux, who they say fled the scene. A warrant was issued, and Sioux was taken into custody Tuesday in the 2400 block of SW 45th Street.
He was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of first-degree murder, said Staff Sergeant Dillon Quirk in a press release.
The investigation remains in its early stages. Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Tip Line at 405-297-1200.
