Man found gunshot in NW Oklahoma City dies at hospital

OKLAHOMA CITY — A man who was found in a car suffering from gunshot wounds in northwest Oklahoma City December 26 has died.

The violent death is now being counted as homicide #75 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2023.

Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were sent to 5517 NW 50th St. at 5:34 PM the day after Christmas, according to a news release.

The area is around the intersection of NW 50th and Willow Cliff Rd. near an apartment complex.

When the officers arrived, they found 20-year-old Gabriel Garcia with gunshot wounds in a vehicle stopped in the middle of the street.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he died from the wounds five days later.

No arrests have been made so far.
