Man found dead in south Oklahoma City apartment

— Death marks Oklahoma City’s 71st homicide of 2025

OKLAHOMA CITY — A man was found dead inside a south Oklahoma City apartment early Monday morning in what police believe to be a homicide.

The Oklahoma City Police Department is marking this death as homicide #71 for the city in 2025.

Officers responded to a disturbance call at 1:17 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Brookwood Drive. When they arrived, they found the door to one of the apartments open. Inside, officers discovered the body of 33-year-old Chimei Zounon.

Police believe Zounon had injuries consistent with homicide. No suspects are in custody, and the investigation remains ongoing.
