OKLAHOMA CITY — A man was shot and killed in the dark early hours of Sunday during what police believe was a domestic disturbance in southwest Oklahoma City.
It was homicide #32 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2025.
Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were dispatched around 12:09 a.m. June 15 to the 3000 block of SW 139th Street, near SW 134th Street and South May Avenue.
When they arrived, they found 61-year-old Larry James Gamble Jr. dead from a gunshot wound, according to Staff Sergeant Dillon Quirk with OCPD.
Detectives believe Gamble was involved in an altercation at the time he was shot. The one suspected of shooting Gamble and others at the scene were interviewed and released.
Oklahoma City police said the case will be presented to the Cleveland County District Attorney’s Office for review. No arrests have been made.
