OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City police detectives are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened early Monday morning at an apartment complex in the 3400 block of SW 17th Street.
Police believe the victim, 34-year-old Jermaine Hamilton, was involved in a domestic confrontation with another person before he was stabbed.
Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were called to the scene about 2:37 a.m. Monday. Hamilton was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died just before 3:30 a.m., SSgt. Dillon Quirk said in a press release.
The individual involved in the confrontation was interviewed by detectives and released pending further review by the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office on whether charges will be filed.
Police stated that the investigation is in its early stages and may take some time to complete.
