Body found in SW OKC alley; homicide investigation begins

OKLAHOMA CITY — Police are investigating after a person was found dead Monday afternoon in an alley near Southwest 24th Street and South Agnew Avenue.

The death is being counted as homicide #54 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2025.

Shortly before 3 p.m., a passerby called police to report someone unresponsive in the alley, according to an Oklahoma City Police Department news release. Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department arrived to find the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

As the investigation begins, detectives believe the person had injuries consistent with homicide. The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

As of Tuesday afternoon, no arrests had been made.

The department stated that the case remains in its early stages and may take some time to complete.
