OKLAHOMA CITY — One week later, the Oklahoma City Police Department is still investigating the circumstances of man found dead by members of the public.
On Sunday, February 9, 911 operators began to hear reports from the public of someone lying in a field who seemed to need assistance near NW 32nd and I-44 in Oklahoma City.
When patrol officers arrived they found a person who had already died that “…appeared to have injuries consistent with homicide,” said SSgt. Dillon Quirk, OKCPD, in a press release.
That person was soon identified as Brian Lewis Sparks, 50.
When Free Press checked back with SSgt. Quirk later in the week, he had not seen or heard anything else new on that case.
The death is marked as homicide #5 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2025.
Detectives continue to work this case seeking answers about Sparks’ death.
Police urge anyone with information to call the Homicide Tip-Line at 405/297-1200.
