The community is invited to a Ward 7 Info Session at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, to learn more about the Community Public Safety Advisory Board’s purpose, activities and accomplishments.

The Community Public Safety Advisory Board serves as a permanent, independent committee in Oklahoma City that reviews the complaint investigative process and results of completed department investigations involving Oklahoma City Public Safety Officers.
“Public safety means creating neighborhoods where everyone feels secure,” Ward 7 Councilperson Camal Pennington said. The work begins by engaging in conversations, listening to residents’ concerns and involving them in solutions. The Community Public Safety Advisory Board, represented by Pastor Kenneth Morgan in Ward 7, brings together a resident from each ward to ensure public safety services in our City are accountable to OKC residents. This Info Session provides an opportunity for residents to learn more about the important work of the CPSAB.”
The Info Session will include a panel discussion moderated by Oklahoma City Assistant City Manager Jason Ferbrache. Panelists include:

- Pastor Kenneth Morgan, CPSAB Ward 7 Member
- Andrea Grayson, OKC Public Safety Partnership Implementation Manager
- Captain William Ricketts, Office of Professional Standards, OKCPD
“The CPSAB was formed in April 2024 and is one of the first programs implemented through the OKC Public Safety Partnership,” Andrea Grayson, Implementation Manager for the OKC Public Safety Partnership, said. “The CPSAB played a vital role in launching the online OKCPD employee compliment and complaint form in English, Spanish and Vietnamese and has helped ensure transparency and accountability in our public safety services. We’ve been holding CPSAB Info Sessions in wards throughout Oklahoma City to provide community members a chance to learn about the board’s activities and its purpose in enhancing public safety for all residents.”
The Community Public Safety Advisory Board is a product of the Public Safety Partnership. The creation of the board was one of 39 recommendations included in the report (PDF, 2MB) received by City Council in March 2022 to advance public safety for all residents. The work of the board and public info sessions address two other recommendations from the report.
