4 dead in separate Oklahoma City shootings over weekend

OKLAHOMA CITY — Four people were killed in three separate shootings across Oklahoma City over a 27-hour period this past weekend, according to information released Monday by the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Two men were found dead Friday afternoon in the city’s west side. Hours later, a third man was fatally wounded in a shooting at a southside apartment complex. On Saturday evening, police responded to a third deadly shooting just south of downtown.

Double homicide near NW 10th and N. Virginia

The first homicide occurred around 4:52 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, near NW 10th Street and N. Virginia Avenue. Officers responded to a shooting call and found two men dead at the scene.

The victims were identified as Claude Bagby, 63, and Stanley Reid, 43. Police believe both men were shot, though it remains unclear what led to the violence. Investigators have not announced any suspects or arrests.

These killings were classified as Homicides 7 and 8 for 2026, police stated.

Man killed in southside apartment complex

Later that same night, at approximately 11:17 p.m., officers were called to a shooting at an apartment complex in the 3700 block of S. Pennsylvania Avenue.

Police found Brentley Joseph Mueller, 42, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died. Police believe Mueller was shot but have not disclosed further details about the circumstances of the shooting.

Mueller’s death is considered the city’s ninth homicide of the year.

Saturday night homicide near downtown

The most recent killing took place Saturday evening around 7:10 p.m. Officers responded to a shooting at a residence in the 1600 block of Linden Street, located just south of downtown Oklahoma City. They found Samuel Johnson, 77, dead at the scene. Police believe he had been shot.

The motive and circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation. Police said no suspects are in custody.

Johnson’s death marks Oklahoma City’s 10th homicide in 2026.
